High Desert Cabling is a licensed C-7 low voltage contractor specializing in structured cabling systems, Cat6/Cat6a ethernet installation, fiber optic termination, and data center infrastructure. Our BICSI-certified technicians deliver enterprise-grade network solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential properties throughout Adelanto, Victorville, Hesperia, and San Bernardino County. From MDF/IDF buildouts to horizontal cable runs and patch panel termination, we ensure TIA-568 compliance on every installation.
Our installations meet TIA/EIA-568 standards with Fluke-certified testing and comprehensive documentation.
Structured cabling is a standardized architecture for building telecommunications infrastructure. It consists of six subsystems: entrance facilities, equipment rooms, backbone cabling, horizontal cabling, telecommunications rooms, and work area components. This systematic approach ensures scalability, simplified troubleshooting, and support for multiple hardware uses.
Cat6 cable supports speeds up to 10 Gbps at 55 meters with 250 MHz bandwidth. Cat6a (augmented) extends 10 Gbps support to 100 meters with 500 MHz bandwidth and superior alien crosstalk reduction. For new installations requiring future-proofing, Cat6a provides better long-term value despite higher material costs.
Single-mode fiber (SMF) uses a 9-micron core for long-distance transmission up to 100km, ideal for campus backbones. Multi-mode fiber (MMF) uses 50 or 62.5-micron cores for shorter runs up to 550 meters, suitable for in-building horizontal connections. OM4 multi-mode supports 100 Gbps at 150 meters.
Complete network infrastructure including MDF/IDF rooms, backbone cabling, horizontal runs, consolidation points, and work area outlets. TIA-568 compliant installations with full documentation.
